About Hoops for Heroes
“Hoops for Heroes” was created in 2008 by a group of individuals committed to continuing the legacy of Officer Denzinger and supporting the Frank C Denzinger Foundation. The foundation was established to offer scholarship opportunities to current police and corrections officers to continue their education. “Hoops for Heroes” was designed to allow police and firefighters to interact and build a community relationship, just as Officer Denzinger did in his everyday patrol. The event will be annual and thanks you the community support will continue to grow in size and scale.
Our thanks goes out to all of those that have volunteered their time and efforts to plan and organize the 1st and 2nd Annual Hoops for Heroes Event and a sincere thank you for those that have sponsored us with materials, raffle items, and monetary donations.
Rest in Peace our Fallen Brother, you will never be forgotten.
